Media Sales Account Manager
DEPARTMENT: CCMC Sports Sales Department
REPORTS TO: Director of Sales

CCMC, one of Canada’s leading integrated sports marketing companies has an immediate sales position available for a driven and results oriented individual to be part of our hockey and golf media sales team. The ideal candidate would be a highly motivated, goal oriented individual achiever with a proven track record of media sales at both the client and agency level.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Responsibilities
- Research and generation of leads with companies with potential to advertise against a number of sport properties in Canada, including online, broadcast and print sales, with a particular focus on the online elements.
- Development and customization of sales presentations to clients and agencies
- Orchestrate presentation and facilitate meetings with clients
- Manage and foster top level relationships with clients to build relationship with CCMC
- Work closely with Corporate Partnership team to ensure fulfillment and over delivery of contract benefits are met
- Assist with development of new properties and online network and various other mediums
- Meet agreed-upon sales budgets
- Sales duties will include fulfilling a budget for a multitude of sport properties
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide sales support as needed, including research, proposal development, concept ideation, etc.
- Contribute to planning and execution of select special events
- Assist in preparation of post season reports for assigned accounts
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Post secondary degree in marketing, communications, sports management or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 2-5 years applied sales experience
- Candidates with prior media sales experience will be strongly considered.
- Sound working knowledge of web-based marketing and emerging media properties
- Understanding of sponsorship marketing, leveraging and valuation
- Established network of corporate marketing decision makers is a benefit
- Ability to speak French will also be seen as a benefit
Job Specific Skills and Abilities:
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be well organized and demonstrate an ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
- Understanding of online, broadcast, and print sales
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Successful candidate will be familiar with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
WORKING CONDITIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Position will include some travel for various functions and sales pitches
